Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision, architecture, tooling strategy, and roadmap for Cboe’s build and release engineering practice.
- Lead AI adoption across the DevOps lifecycle, including changelog generation, incident summarization, deployment workflows, code review, and infrastructure-as-code generation.
- Architect, evolve, and own a high-performance CI/CD pipeline supporting weekly production releases to mission-critical financial systems.
- Automate repetitive engineering processes and oversee build, test, and release environments with a focus on reliability, observability, and rapid recovery.
- Develop and maintain testing tools, dashboards, and status reporting for engineering teams.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to improve software testability, deployability, and operational excellence.
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and extend build and release best practices across the enterprise.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience applying AI tools or agentic frameworks to real engineering workflows.
- Advanced Linux expertise, including system administration, hardware/software environments, and shell scripting.
- Extensive Python development or scripting experience.
- Experience with network administration, configuration management, technical troubleshooting, Git-based version control, and branching strategies.
- Strong CI/CD tooling experience, including Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Experience with build and release engineering, CI/CD, or DevOps in large-scale or mission-critical systems; 5+ years is prioritized.
- Working SQL proficiency and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with Maven, CMake, uv, npm, Jira, and Confluence.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include financial markets experience, knowledge of order entry or market data protocols, and experience transforming reactive build practices into proactive ones.
