Base Salary
$101k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance, scalable raster analysis tools across spatial modeling, terrain, pattern, statistical, hydrologic, and multidimensional scientific data domains.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and deliver GIS solutions for complex real-world challenges.
- Architect and implement robust software components using design principles and best practices.
- Identify and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks through automated testing and optimization.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of demonstrated C++ software development experience.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, parallel processing, and GPU-accelerated computing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include C# and WPF application development, GIS and raster analysis, scientific computing, and a master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related STEM field.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development practices is preferred.
