Responsibilities
- Drive technical architecture decisions for the platform
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale systems across frontend and backend
- Establish engineering standards and best practices across the organization
- Champion AI tool adoption across engineering teams
- Solve complex challenges involving system design, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Own major technical decisions and remain accountable for architectural outcomes
- Guide and mentor engineers through complex technical decisions
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture reviews, and documentation
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated full-stack experience
- Fluency with AI coding tools and the ability to use them strategically
- Experience making significant technical decisions that positively impact engineering organizations
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts and providing actionable updates
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and tackle complex problems
- Builder mentality focused on shipping and iterating working software
- Preferred experience in financial services, trading systems, or wealth management platforms
- Preferred background in high-availability system design and real-time data processing
- Preferred experience with event-driven architectures
- Preferred knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and compliance
