Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the agents, prompts, model configurations, context layer, evaluations, and harness powering Piper.
- Develop customer-facing features that combine GTM strategy, CRM data, and guardrails into personalized multimodal AI SDR experiences.
- Build and maintain LLM evaluations measuring system health, response quality, lead conversion, meeting bookings, and pipeline impact.
- Troubleshoot LLM responses using traces and reason about context, tokens, tools, prompts, models, latency, and reasoning tradeoffs.
- Own full-stack product engineering work from scoping and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Collaborate with product, AI platform, and domain teams while owning significant initiatives and architecture decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in product engineering or a related field.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals with proficiency in frontend and backend development.
- Ability to work independently, identify gaps, and take ideas through production.
- Understanding of agent fundamentals including traces, context, tokens, tools, system prompts, models, latency, reasoning tradeoffs, and MCP.
- Ability to evaluate agent quality, understand model strengths and weaknesses, and capture customer judgment as success criteria.
- Experience with real-time or text-based LLM products is preferred.
- Experience with LLM observability or evaluation systems is preferred.
- Experience building software for marketing, sales, or go-to-market teams and integrating with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred.
- Startup experience, rapid shipping experience, and familiarity with Rails and React are beneficial.
- Comfort using coding agents effectively and assessing the quality of their output is preferred.
