Responsibilities
- Translate domain strategy, target architecture, standards, and guardrails into project-level Salesforce solution architecture.
- Lead solution design covering architecture diagrams, technical approaches, integrations, data, security, and non-functional requirements.
- Decompose architecture into sequenced technical deliverables, dependencies, implementation approaches, ownership, and delivery milestones.
- Translate architecture into Jira epics, technical enablers, stories, and implementation milestones with product, engineering, and technical leads.
- Maintain architecture involvement through implementation and resolve gaps between approved designs and delivery realities.
- Guide configuration versus custom development, low-code versus pro-code, integration, data, security, and other technical decisions.
- Review detailed designs and implementation outcomes for architectural alignment and document decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and deviations.
- Identify and remediate architecture risks, technical debt, cross-team dependencies, and non-functional concerns, escalating enterprise-level issues as needed.
- Provide architecture guidance and coaching and contribute reusable patterns, lessons learned, and delivery feedback to the Salesforce architecture community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least eight years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, solution architecture, enterprise technology, or a related field.
- Significant experience delivering solutions on the Salesforce platform and performing solution or delivery architecture responsibilities in complex enterprise programs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce solution design, configuration, custom development, integration, data, security, and application lifecycle considerations.
- Experience translating high-level architecture into executable technical work packages and delivery backlogs.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and with Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred: Salesforce architect-level or advanced technical certifications; solution, cloud, or enterprise architecture certification; experience with large-scale multi-team Salesforce environments, formal architecture governance, regulated or globally distributed enterprises.
- A master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
