Senior Software Development Engineer, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Develop new processes, services, and applications using modern software development languages and tools.
- Automate, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based Linux and Windows systems.
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.
- Support business users with technical issues and identify root causes of technical problems.
- Continuously refine infrastructure and define and document workflows and operating procedures for complex systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- At least four years of experience writing software in Python and Java ecosystems, including Spring, Maven, and JUnit.
- At least four years of experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, and XML.
- Experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with Linux, Bash, Windows, and PowerShell environments.
- Experience building and deploying systems using Amazon Web Services.
- Proficiency with modern software development tools, Git, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum management practices.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, support users, and solve complex technical problems.
