$133k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce best practices for data streaming, processing, analytics, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes platforms including Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Provision and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Enterprise Actions for automated deployments and testing.
- Manage cloud-native data services including AWS Kinesis, AWS Glue, Google Dataflow, Google Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and BigTable.
- Develop Python automation scripts and tooling for DevOps processes.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive reliability and efficiency improvements.
- Apply SRE practices, including performance monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure costs.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security policies and best practices.
- Drive adoption of DevOps and SRE standards across data teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience with AWS and GCP data services, including Kinesis, Glue, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
- Production experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads on EKS or GKE.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform.
- Expertise managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Enterprise Actions.
- Python programming skills for automation and scripting.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Strong understanding of SRE principles, performance monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.
- Ability to influence change across multiple teams, collaborate effectively, and support multiple teams in an agile environment.
- Preferred: experience with data lake architectures and big-data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Preferred: familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Preferred: experience with Apache Airflow or Google Cloud Composer.
- Preferred: knowledge of Istio, GitOps workflows, and Kubernetes-native tooling.
