Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reliable software solutions for satellite vehicle systems.
- Contribute to architecture and software development for satellite over-the-air update capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot support issues, triage bugs, and implement solutions.
- Identify root causes of persistent satellite software problems and simplify existing systems.
- Write and review code while balancing feature development with responsive operational support.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, current U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or individuals granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
