Responsibilities
- Own services end to end, including design, development, deployment, measurement, and maintenance.
- Build and evolve large-scale real-time infrastructure and shared framework code for Taboola’s recommendation systems.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and logging to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.
- Develop scalable infrastructure capabilities such as cluster management, Kafka consumers, and metrics pipelines.
- Collaborate across multiple teams and help accelerate development through Gen-AI tools.
Requirements
- Develop large-scale distributed systems and understand production-system infrastructure.
- Demonstrate strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and concurrent or multithreaded programming.
- Have 5+ years of programming experience in Java or an equivalent object-oriented language.
- Have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies and be highly proficient in Linux.
- Work effectively across multiple teams.
- Hold a B.Sc. in computer science or have equivalent experience.
- Bonus qualifications include experience with Big Data tools and knowledge of algorithms, data mining, and machine learning.
