Responsibilities
- Build interfaces for task creation, file and video review, agent-action inspection, and experimental-result comparison.
- Design APIs and PostgreSQL data models for tasks, reviews, files, and experiments.
- Connect applications to data pipelines and file storage while adding input validation, permission controls, and clear error handling.
- Collaborate with researchers and domain experts to improve workflows, investigate bugs, and maintain performance as datasets grow.
- Test and debug software and incorporate user feedback into ongoing development.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining applications used by others.
- Strong TypeScript and React skills, or Python experience with a backend framework such as FastAPI, plus interest in working across the stack.
- Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Practical experience with testing, debugging, and collaboration with users and teammates.
- Experience with annotation tools, research software, or interfaces for exploring large datasets is helpful.
- Familiarity with AWS, object storage such as S3, background job processing, or frontend testing frameworks is a plus.
