Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support backend services and APIs using Go.
- Create and automate production and non-production AWS cloud environments, deployment pipelines, and configuration.
- Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs for catalog, metadata, entitlement, playback authorization, and device registration capabilities.
- Define API contracts, data models, concurrency models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns.
- Lead feature delivery from design through deployment and production stabilization.
- Develop unit, integration, and regression test suites and participate in code reviews, release activities, and CI/CD processes.
- Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, resolve performance issues, and support rollback and operational readiness procedures.
- Provide technical guidance, effort estimates, risk assessments, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Participate in on-call and production support activities.
Requirements
- Go Programming Language and AWS Cloud development are mandatory primary skills.
- The posting lists a minimum of 3 years of experience and separately specifies a minimum of 9 years of relevant Go and AWS experience and 18 years of total experience.
- Strong experience with Go, including interfaces, structures, slices, maps, goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, and Go modules.
- Experience with Go frameworks or routers such as Gin, Echo, Chi, or net/http.
- Experience designing microservices, relational and NoSQL database solutions, distributed applications, and RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Fargate, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS IAM.
- Experience with Go testing, mocking, benchmarking, profiling, race detection, Git, Docker, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing blue-green and canary deployment strategies and leading production incident management and technical reviews.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience includes OTT, streaming, broadcast, digital media, HLS, DASH, DRM, CDN, SSAI, VOD, AWS Elemental services, Amazon CloudFront, Kafka, AWS Step Functions, Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Redis, Amazon ElastiCache, Grafana, Datadog, Elastic Stack, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, and IT service management processes.
- AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification and experience in managed services or SLA-driven environments are preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education is required.
