Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, enhance, test, and validate software applications and utility programs.
- Build Java software, REST web services, object-oriented database and grid applications, and data-grid-centric user interfaces.
- Design interfaces between user interfaces and REST services and modernize legacy applications into service-oriented architecture.
- Contribute throughout the complete software delivery lifecycle, including analysis, architecture, implementation, release, and production support.
- Use test-driven development, behavior-driven development, refactoring, and clean-code practices.
- Define and evolve component architecture and contribute to department- and bank-wide architectural decisions.
- Help build, test, and release software through an automated continuous delivery pipeline.
- Provide third-line production support and participate in on-call rotations when needed.
- Collaborate with users, analysts, developers, testers, hardware engineers, and other technology teams.
- Support an agile team culture focused on learning, continuous improvement, and efficient delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, programming and systems analysis, or computer studies.
- At least four years of professional programming experience, including Java or another general-purpose programming language.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React or ReactJS.
- Required experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming, SQL, and relational databases.
- Deep knowledge of at least one modern programming language and understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end application deployment on cloud platforms.
- Practical experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, web technologies, frameworks, and development tools.
- Experience working in an agile team using Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Traditional Chinese communication skills to liaise with clients in the North Asia region.
- Functional analysis experience is highly desirable.
