Senior Software Engineer (Python / AI Insurance SaaS)

Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build a complex multi-tenant enterprise SaaS application for insurance application workflows
- Build and maintain the backend REST server that feeds machine learning data and business intelligence
- Own the full lifecycle of designing, building, and launching enterprise applications
- Lead greenfield projects with a high degree of ownership
- Collaborate directly with product leadership, data science, UX designers, and end users
- Shape product technology choices and roadmap priorities
- Introduce engineering best practices, improve consistency across teams, and help prioritize high-impact features
- Solve business problems involving large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience and expert-level Python development skills
- Extensive experience across the full feature development lifecycle, including scope definition, database schema design, implementation, and launch
- Strong systems design and relational database experience
- Experience designing, building, and launching multi-tenant, multi-user backend architectures
- Proven experience using AI and agentic tools to streamline development
- Ability to move between rapid prototyping and stable production development
- Ability to write technical design documents, conduct code reviews, and establish strong engineering practices
- Ability to understand client business problems and demonstrate the business impact of technical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative, self-starting, solutions-oriented approach with openness to critical feedback
