Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed services with high security and availability requirements.
- Clarify ambiguous requirements with customers and partner teams and deliver simple, effective designs.
- Own features end to end through design, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Participate in on-call, identify root causes of production issues, and deliver permanent fixes.
- Improve software development and operations through tooling, testing, and deployment-safety improvements.
- Write design and system documentation, review designs and code, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of Software Development Engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 3 years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 3 years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: experience implementing cloud-based technology solutions or architecting and operating solutions built on AWS.
- Preferred: knowledge of web application development, penetration testing, mobile security, cryptography, public key infrastructure, forensic security, IP security, SSL/TLS, malware, network security, trusted security, trusted execution, threat intelligence, IoT security, or authentication.
