Base Salary

$214k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, operate, monitor, scale, and upgrade resilient distributed data platforms across AWS and private cloud environments.
  • Lead infrastructure automation and cloud engineering initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Python.
  • Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, deployment velocity, and reliability for high-throughput customer-facing production systems.
  • Implement automated backups, security patching, and incident management workflows.
  • Advise application teams on data access patterns, cloud architecture, and migration strategies.
  • Lead technical projects through task estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Build infrastructure that scales, recovers from regional outages, and reduces repetitive operational work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, scaling, and upgrading distributed databases such as CassandraDB, OpenSearch, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
  • 5+ years managing AWS infrastructure at scale and supporting live, customer-facing SaaS production environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and Python.
  • 3+ years leading technical projects, including estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • U.S. Person status required because the role may involve FedRAMP High or IL-5 environments and work restricted to U.S. citizens on U.S. soil.
  • Preferred experience includes modern data platforms, data pipelines, streaming, AI/ML and GenAI workloads, Java/Python data-driven applications, data access patterns, and regulated U.S. Federal environments.
