Base Salary
$141k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply AI techniques to support clinical research and drug discovery workflows.
- Build, train, evaluate, benchmark, and deploy large-scale machine learning models and AI applications.
- Implement distributed training across multi-GPU and multi-node infrastructure and optimize GPU performance.
- Optimize and serve models for inference using production model-serving systems.
- Build full-stack AI applications spanning data, models, backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
- Design resilient, scalable, performant, and secure system architectures.
- Collaborate with AI scientists, ML Ops engineers, data engineers, and NVIDIA experts on technical and scientific innovation.
- Lead architecture reviews and code-quality efforts, mentor colleagues, and protect proprietary data, models, and intellectual property.
- Follow ethical AI, data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of hands-on engineering experience building machine learning systems and taking models from research or prototypes into working systems.
- Advanced Python and production experience with PyTorch or JAX.
- Hands-on distributed training using multi-GPU and multi-node infrastructure, such as DDP, FSDP, DeepSpeed, or Megatron.
- Experience with GPU performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience serving and optimizing models with Triton, vLLM, or TensorRT-LLM.
- Experience with containerization and scheduling tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ray, or Slurm.
- Experience designing model evaluation and benchmarking that identifies failure modes.
- Full-stack capability including a backend language, JavaScript and a frontend framework such as React, and API design.
- Familiarity with NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas; C++ or CUDA experience is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-premises GPU clusters.
- Experience with distributed training or large-scale model deployment on GPU infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, collaboration, and ability to work through ambiguity.
