Responsibilities
- Investigate complex technical issues across live environments by analyzing system behavior, data flows, configurations, logs, and APIs.
- Build and maintain internal automation tools, workflows, and dashboards to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop AI-powered tooling and LLM-based workflows to automate repetitive tasks, surface anomalies, and accelerate investigations.
- Collaborate with Operations, GDS Specialists, Solution Architects, Product, and R&D as a technical bridge between operational needs and engineering solutions.
- Identify patterns in operational data and translate them into scalable technical solutions before issues recur.
- Manage long-term technical projects and deliver them on time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical operations, backend engineering, or a similar engineering role.
- Development experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience building automations and internal tooling from scratch.
- Strong technical fundamentals in SQL, log analysis, API debugging, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and LLM-based workflows.
- Ability to investigate ambiguous problems independently across systems and data.
- Familiarity with GDS web services such as Sabre, Amadeus, or an equivalent.
- Background in travel technology or airline/booking systems is a significant advantage.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or an equivalent is a significant advantage.
