Responsibilities
- Finalize requirements with technical personnel and team members.
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Design and develop software across multiple components using Java and JavaScript.
- Complete complex bug fixes and resolve intermediate technical issues.
- Implement and guide continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices.
- Identify and implement operational requirements for logging, instrumentation, and alerting.
- Translate complex product requirements and user requests into software designs.
- Apply coding best practices, code reviews, and development processes.
- Pair program with squad members and develop mentoring skills for less senior developers.
- Collaborate with internal and external technology resources and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Intermediate proficiency with data manipulation language, optimization techniques, data modeling principles, and multiple data storage subsystems.
- Confidence developing with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, Node.js, React, XML, SQL, Windows, and Unix.
- Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, or another identity provider, including realm configuration, authentication flows, and OIDC client setup.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, development toolsets, industry best practices, and test-driven development.
- Ability to write and review complex software specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and interface with technical personnel.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or other AI-assisted development tools for test authoring, stub generation, coverage analysis, or test-output investigation.
- Preferred familiarity with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool, Docker, and Kubernetes.
