Base Salary

$77k - $102k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain embedded firmware in C for industrial camera platforms.
  • Develop low-level drivers, interrupt handling, DMA paths, boot processes, and board support functionality.
  • Implement processor-to-FPGA interfaces, register maps, and control mechanisms.
  • Contribute to GenICam, GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, and CoaXPress machine vision interface stacks.
  • Optimize high-throughput data streaming, synchronization, and timing performance.
  • Support board bring-up, hardware debugging, and root-cause analysis using schematics, datasheets, and oscilloscopes.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and deliver verified fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, hardware, software, and test engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong embedded C development skills and working knowledge of C++.
  • Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded systems.
  • Understanding of interrupts, DMA, low-level drivers, and resource-constrained systems.
  • Experience debugging hardware using schematics, datasheets, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with a master’s degree, 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree, a PhD, or equivalent experience.
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • FPGA interfacing, embedded Linux, machine vision protocols, image processing, Python or Bash scripting, and VHDL or Verilog familiarity are advantageous.
