Software Development Engineer III, AI Data Engineering

- Develop and deliver AI-powered solutions to accelerate access to medicines.
- Develop ML pipelines that can incorporate new modeling approaches.
- Partner with business and IT groups to scale and operationalize AI solutions.
- Educate business stakeholders on practical AI applications and value.
- Serve as a knowledge expert in foundation models and communicate recommendations and impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and deploy generative AI solutions, including potential RAG pipelines, chat applications, and AI agents.
- Fine-tune deep learning models and work with unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Lead or support implementation of new technologies and drive complex solutions through completion.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge in data and analytics, typically gained through a university degree and 6+ years of experience.
- Experience with data provisioning, data mining, data visualization, machine learning, Python or R, GitHub, cloud computing, and model governance with MLflow or equivalent.
- Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with prompt engineering and vector databases.
- Experience working with unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Experience fine-tuning deep learning models.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with MLOps principles and the model development lifecycle.
- Ability to communicate analytical insights, business implications, recommendations, and complex technical concepts to broad stakeholder groups.
- Desirable experience building RAG pipelines, chat applications, and AI agents; using LlamaIndex, LangChain, and Hugging Face models; and working with vision models.
