Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build core Android experiences for sign-up, account management, family features, payments, safety, and OpenAI products.
- Develop reusable Android foundations that enable product teams across OpenAI apps to ship quickly and securely.
- Own client-side systems spanning UI, networking, local state, payment integrations, and Apple platform integrations.
- Shape architecture supporting OpenAI’s mobile ecosystem at global scale.
- Partner with backend, product, and safety teams to deliver reliable and trusted mobile technology.
Requirements
- Up to 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience building high-quality Android applications in production.
- Fluency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Familiarity with Android development tools and architecture components.
- Strong focus on performance, security, and user experience in mobile development.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, backend, and safety partners.
