Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Design and build custom implementations using AI voice assistants, Telnyx APIs, and WebRTC.
- Deploy and operate LiteLLM and self-hosted or hosted open-weight model solutions in customer environments.
- Implement LLM routing, fallbacks, usage governance, cost controls, observability, logging, and guardrails.
- Deploy production observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
- Lead POCs, pilots, production launches, customer troubleshooting, and stabilization through go-live.
- Develop prompt and RAG pipelines and evaluation harnesses for Spanish, Portuguese, and English use cases.
- Create technical documentation and runbooks and collaborate with Product and Engineering on roadmap improvements.
Requirements
- A computer science degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years building and shipping production software used by real customers.
- Proficiency in multiple languages including Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
- Experience with production model integrations, rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failure modes.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams.
- Experience building APIs with OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
- Event-driven and cloud-native engineering experience, plus exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, including discovery, executive presentations, troubleshooting, and technical escalations.
- Fluent written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes AI voice assistants, STT/TTS, LLM gateways, inference serving, SQL, ETL, telecom or CPaaS, sovereign or on-premise deployments, and security controls such as IAM and encryption.
