Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable backend services supporting the complete trading lifecycle.
- Develop reliable, observable, event-driven services using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Build integrations with internal platforms and external trading venues for time-sensitive financial data processing.
- Translate complex trading processes into resilient software models, APIs, and lifecycle-driven workflows.
- Own services from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Improve platform reliability, automation, observability, developer experience, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and engineering stakeholders in an autonomous cross-functional team.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Strong professional experience building production backend services with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven, high-availability systems with clear API and service boundaries.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design and complex business workflow modeling.
- Experience with latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems, including performance analysis, monitoring, capacity planning, and failure-mode design.
- Experience designing, operating, and optimizing persistence using relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Strong focus on clean, secure, testable, documented, and maintainable production code.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development and operations, ideally including AWS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tooling.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with financial-market systems requiring strict operational controls and auditability is a strong plus.
