Responsibilities
- Architect, train, fine-tune, and deploy ML/LLM-based guardrail and content moderation models for text, multimodal, and code workloads.
- Build offline and online evaluation frameworks, adversarial red-team test suites, benchmarking datasets, and LLM-as-a-judge pipelines.
- Optimize high-throughput, low-latency safety filtering and integrate models with central AI Gateway and inference layers.
- Develop defenses against jailbreaks, prompt injection, data leakage, hallucinations, and unauthorized tool-calling behavior in agentic systems.
- Support AI governance and regulatory readiness through safety controls, audit logging, watermarking, and verifiable compliance capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, legal, and trust teams; provide technical direction, code and design reviews, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of industry experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Deep hands-on experience with NLP, LLMs, transformer architectures, prompt engineering, PEFT/LoRA fine-tuning, and model alignment.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Kotlin, Java, or Go, with experience writing clean, testable, performant production code.
- Experience building rigorous evaluation pipelines and managing precision/recall trade-offs for high-consequence classification or safety systems.
- Experience with data visualization and at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, R-Shiny, Microstrategy, SAP Business Objects, or Looker.
- Experience deploying and scaling ML services in AWS or GCP using Kubernetes or Docker and distributed data processing with Spark or SQL.
- Preferred experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, AI red-teaming, adversarial robustness, inference optimization, model quantization, AI governance, content provenance, regulatory compliance, streaming pipelines, or graph-based entity systems.
