Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, integrate, and support systems based on user specifications.
- Provide technical and consultative assistance for complex hardware and software problems.
- Develop and maintain large-scale backend and full web applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and React.js.
- Design, develop, and integrate application APIs and work with API gateway platforms.
- Design and maintain relational database schemas and troubleshoot and optimize applications for security, performance, and responsiveness.
- Guide developers, conduct code reviews, coordinate technical deliverables, and support training for less experienced staff.
- Balance application development and application-support responsibilities while collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and business groups.
- Serve as a project leader for specific projects and stay current with relevant technical industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an additional 4 years of related work experience in lieu of the degree.
- Fluency in Java 8 or above and experience developing large-scale backend applications.
- Strong experience with modern Java technologies, object-oriented programming, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong front-end development experience with React.js and experience across the full web application development lifecycle.
- Experience with SQL and relational database management systems, including DB2, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Experience with Swagger/OAS, Maven, Eclipse, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Postman/Newman.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and preferably Apigee or a similar API gateway platform.
- Expertise in relational database schema design and maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and clear code documentation.
- Strong technical leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-platform environment, support projects spanning multiple business segments, and collaborate effectively with IT teams, vendors, and business groups.
- Banking industry experience is a plus.
