Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer, Senior Associate
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, prepare, and implement test strategies and test scenarios.
- Review test cases and test results.
- Conduct testing and defect-status meetings and communicate defect causes and solutions.
- Demonstrate functionality to business users.
- Collaborate with business and development teams to resolve quality problems.
- Develop automated scripts and validate data quality across complete data sets.
- Write complex SQL queries to validate data scenarios.
- Write and analyze UNIX shell scripts and commands.
- Participate in stand-ups, iteration planning, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in an SQA role and driving software development projects from a quality-assurance perspective.
- Experience with manual and automated software testing.
- Experience with Oracle, Postgres, Databricks, or Hadoop.
- Experience developing automated data-quality scripts using Python, Selenium, Pandas, and ETL automation tools.
- Ability to develop complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience writing and analyzing UNIX shell scripts and commands.
- Knowledge of SDLC tools and methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile development model.
- Familiarity with Confluence for requirements and defect management.
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, presentation, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
