Responsibilities
- Analyze and elaborate user stories, design and develop software applications, and build automation tools.
- Own architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and other technical aspects for assigned applications.
- Write code and API specifications, conduct proof-of-concepts and code reviews, and perform hands-on development in ongoing sprints.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, canonical data models, data quality controls, and enterprise data platforms.
- Integrate enterprise applications and cloud platforms using event streaming, messaging, webhooks, and batch or real-time ingestion.
- Collaborate with technical product managers on solution blueprints and feature planning.
- Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and anticipate future technical challenges.
- Communicate solution designs with internal and external business partners.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and Data teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience designing and developing cloud-native data engineering solutions and scalable data pipelines.
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, Spark, Dataproc, SQL, or equivalent distributed data processing frameworks.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, or Cloud Run; AWS or Azure experience is also applicable.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation frameworks, canonical data models, and data quality controls for enterprise-scale platforms.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or similar messaging and event-streaming platforms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, performance optimization, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with contact-center data and platforms, including voice, chat, IVR, dialers, Agent Assist, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, transcripts, interaction events, and operational metrics.
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics through BigQuery, semantic datasets, data virtualization, reusable data products, or Metrics as a Service platforms.
- Experience with Git, cloud deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent ownership, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend services supporting data platforms or APIs.
- Preferred exposure to customer journey analytics, contact center analytics, customer interaction platforms, enterprise data virtualization, generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, semantic search, or AI-powered analytics.
- Preferred experience with Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar workflow orchestration platforms, and with modernizing data platforms or migrating workloads to BigQuery.
