Responsibilities
- Own core exchange backend systems for order matching and position management.
- Build and optimize the matching engine to improve latency and throughput.
- Design systems for correctness at scale with queueing and backpressure mechanisms.
- Implement observability features with metrics, logs, and traces.
- Optimize runtime performance for high-throughput exchange demands.
- Debug and resolve production incidents end-to-end.
Requirements
- Senior backend engineering experience with order-book-based exchange systems.
- Deep knowledge of low-latency systems and performance profiling.
- Experience with matching engines and order state management.
- Comfort or willingness to work in Rust.
- Strong observability fundamentals including metrics and distributed traces.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
- Experience with high-frequency trading infrastructure is a plus.
- Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, gRPC, and Protobuf is a plus.
- Kubernetes and AWS production operations experience is a plus.
