Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate, and execute technical solutions with significant customer experience and scalability impact.
- Align technical requirements and details across service teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end.
- Develop scripting and automation for cloud infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies to manage distributed systems.
- Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux systems and complex infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with cloud platform teams covering compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Communicate and present complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment.
- Development experience with Java, C++, C#, and scripting languages.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and orchestration tools for distributed systems.
- Strong Linux experience, including Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian system administration, package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization.
- Experience collaborating with cloud platform teams and accommodating compute, networking, storage, and identity requirements.
- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and infrastructure documentation skills.
