Base Salary

$161k - $218k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead enterprise strategy for defending against AI-powered threats and adversarial AI techniques.
  • Design AI security architecture, guardrails, threat models, detection capabilities, prevention controls, and response mechanisms.
  • Develop telemetry and detection engineering approaches for anomalous behavior and AI-driven attacks.
  • Partner with Cyber Defense, IAM, Application Security, product, and engineering teams to integrate AI security controls.
  • Research emerging AI threat capabilities and apply frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS.
  • Influence senior leadership on AI risk posture, investments, and defensive capability development.
  • Establish engineering standards and secure AI usage patterns across teams and platforms.
  • Evaluate AI security tools, detection platforms, and defensive technology vendors.
  • Mentor engineers and deliver training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing on AI security and detection engineering.
  • Support recruitment and broader community engagement to strengthen AI security expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in security engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience defining and executing enterprise security strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of modern threats, attack techniques, and detection engineering.
  • Experience with threat modeling, incident response, and security operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience with AI/ML systems and their security implications.
  • Preferred knowledge of adversarial AI techniques and AI threat modeling.
  • Preferred experience with XDR, SIEM, and detection engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS.
  • Financial services industry experience is preferred.
