Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable high-performance C++ machine vision software for semiconductor manufacturing and automated inspection equipment.
- Develop, validate, and optimize computer vision and image-processing algorithms for detection, segmentation, feature extraction, alignment, identification, measurement, and defect inspection.
- Design maintainable object-oriented software components, interfaces, and architecture while owning complex features and technical decisions.
- Integrate vision software with automated equipment and imaging systems, applying machine learning techniques when appropriate.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, code reviews, integration, testing, release, and performance improvement.
- Troubleshoot vision and software problems in development and production using logs, images, and system behavior; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support deployment and continuous improvement with manufacturing, field service, customers, and other stakeholders, and provide technical guidance and mentoring as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of professional C++ software development experience, including substantial hands-on development and implementation of machine vision and image-processing algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented software design, including the ability to implement, optimize, debug, and maintain production software.
- Experience developing practical computer vision and image-processing algorithms using OpenCV or equivalent libraries.
- Experience with software testing, code reviews, Git-based source control, and the software development lifecycle.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Windows desktop development, C#/.NET, WPF, industrial automation or semiconductor equipment software, industrial camera integration, 2D/3D imaging, camera calibration, factory diagnostics, production support, optics, illumination, lasers, TensorFlow or similar machine learning frameworks, UML, and mentoring.
