Responsibilities
- Participate in major architectural decisions and develop deep neural network and other machine learning algorithms.
- Develop new features, measure performance, and improve machine learning and data pipelines.
- Research, design, implement, and deploy full-stack scalable data analytics and machine learning solutions.
- Analyze data from different sources and provide actionable insights to business and engineering stakeholders.
- Address specialized modeling challenges including extreme positive sample sparsity and labeling delay.
- Work closely with the Technology and Operations teams.
- Mentor other team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data science positions.
- Very strong coding ability in Python, Scala, and Java.
- Experience building high-performance algorithms in production.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques including regression, distribution properties, and statistical significance tests.
- Experience with data mining and predictive modeling, including deep neural networks, logistic regression, clustering, and time series analysis.
- Knowledge of Bitbucket and Git version-control tools.
- Experience with SQL and data warehousing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science; reporting and data visualization experience; digital marketing and user acquisition experience; Apache Spark and Java experience; familiarity with AWS services; and experience in Linux environments.
