Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments focused on LLMs, agentic AI, model fine-tuning, and broader ML systems.
- Investigate model convergence, inconsistent outputs, and unreliable results across ML architectures.
- Build clean, modular, reproducible research pipelines and maintain versioned code and data.
- Deliver projects autonomously and present technical findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Own end-to-end research pipelines and set research strategy based on expected business impact.
- Translate research findings into actionable, deployable directions for Data Science, MLE, Product, and engineering teams.
- Mentor team members, delegate work, and drive adoption of research innovations.
- Define and develop robust end-to-end MLOps pipelines for advanced models.
- Represent Aily’s research externally, build university relationships, and lead publication efforts.
Requirements
- A required Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another highly technical and quantitative field.
- Deep understanding of classical machine learning, deep learning, and machine-learning fundamentals.
- Extensive, highly proficient experience with Python and SQL.
- Strong experience with language models, agentic AI workflows, and model fine-tuning.
- Strong ability to deploy solutions into production using Docker and other containerization technologies.
- Ability to work autonomously, operate effectively in ambiguity, and evaluate current state-of-the-art research and technology.
- Ability to communicate complex research results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Spain.
- Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, academic or industrial AI research-lab experience, and publications at top-tier AI/ML conferences or journals are advantageous.
