Responsibilities
- Port and deliver Bose DSP algorithms for licensable audio technologies.
- Engage China-based customers throughout opportunity development, product integration, and program execution.
- Translate customer requirements and audio quality expectations into technical recommendations and engineering solutions.
- Support technical evaluations, prototyping, product tuning, and issue resolution with customers and partners.
- Adapt and optimize algorithms for diverse hardware architectures, DSP platforms, operating systems, and system constraints.
- Evaluate and benchmark third-party technologies, algorithms, software libraries, and technology solutions.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and support deployment of Bose audio technologies into commercial partner products.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in digital signal processing with practical audio or speech processing experience.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in audio signal processing, speech processing, or related technology development.
- Experience porting and deploying DSP algorithms on SoC, DSP, or embedded platforms such as ARM, RISC-V, Tensilica HiFi, or Qualcomm Kalimba.
- Experience with embedded firmware development and algorithm optimization, including fixed-point implementations and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB for algorithm development, analysis, and validation.
- Understanding of acoustics and electroacoustics, including microphones, loudspeakers, and audio measurement techniques.
- Experience evaluating, integrating, and benchmarking third-party algorithms, software libraries, or technology solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with vendors, customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a signal-processing-related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes machine learning for audio systems, Bluetooth audio systems, audio DSP on Linux, Android, or Windows, and direct work with external customers or technology partners.
