Responsibilities
- Develop backend features in collaboration with the Product team.
- Build and evolve shared platform services supporting market-specific functionality and a common core product.
- Design scalable solutions for complex financial processes and make architecture and technology decisions.
- Design, develop, and deploy medium-to-large-sized projects.
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable, and resilient distributed systems and platform services.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas for data integrity, performance, and scalability.
- Contribute to coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence.
- Mentor and guide other engineers and contribute to technical direction.
- Improve infrastructure, monitoring, CI/CD, and platform integrations supporting millions of customers.
- Work with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify technical requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong experience with Golang, backend development, distributed systems, platform services, and shared backend infrastructure.
- Strong relational database design experience, including schema design, data modeling, SQL, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, and object-oriented design.
- Preferred experience includes complex customer-facing systems, microservices, cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, high-volume systems, and scalable, available, resilient architectures.
- Preferred experience includes full software development lifecycle practices, stakeholder communication, fintech or financial services, mentoring engineers, and technical direction.
- Full-stack experience with React Native, Next.js, or modern web development technologies is preferred.
- Comfort with AI-native development tools is preferred.
