Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own reliability and operational excellence for Pylon's production systems.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
- Build tooling to enhance the effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Establish on-call rotations and runbooks.
- Ensure the platform meets the demands of a regulated financial product.
- Spend at least 50% of time on coding and automation tasks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
- Experience working on a team of SREs with mature SRE practices.
- Real on-call experience in a large production environment.
- Deep expertise in AWS services such as ECS, RDS, networking, and security.
- Strong experience with declarative infrastructure tools like Terraform or CDK.
- Experience with Nix and building reliability tooling and automation.
- Ability to design and implement monitoring and observability systems.
