Responsibilities
- Meet with software development teams to define project goals and analyze user and system requirements.
- Prepare high- and low-level design documents and participate in software development.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and drive design sessions.
- Write efficient, high-quality code and design software database architecture.
- Test, debug, and validate the functionality and security of software applications.
- Develop, deploy, and support applications in production, including troubleshooting production issues within defined SLAs.
- Respond to bug reports and client escalations and communicate technical risks, issues, progress, and status.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance on knowledge transfer, test strategy development, and test-plan validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in software development.
- Hands-on expertise in object-oriented programming and Java/J2EE.
- Experience with at least one application server: Tomcat, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, or JBoss.
- Experience with database design and strong knowledge of SQL/PLSQL.
- Experience designing, developing, and testing enterprise-class systems using design patterns.
- Experience with UI design and development using Angular or React.
- Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful services, and microservices.
- Experience with REST security technologies including OAuth and JWT, plus Solr and ZooKeeper.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate clearly.
