Responsibilities
- Design and develop AWS SDK-based upload and orchestration engines for transferring historic data to S3 with nested keys and rate-limited parallel uploads.
- Integrate TIFF image packaging and transfer with Swift, XML, JSON, and metadata payloads.
- Develop Java and Python backend APIs connecting extraction, metadata generation, and S3 upload stages into batchable pipelines.
- Build and maintain a React JS self-service UI for triggering, scheduling, monitoring, and reconciling batch extraction jobs.
- Configure and support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes deployments for extraction and UI services.
- Implement exception handling and re-trigger logic for failed or partial uploads in coordination with Data Quality Engineers.
- Optimize batch execution performance and scalability for large historic data volumes.
Requirements
- At least 4–6 years of full-stack software development experience.
- Advanced Java experience for backend and microservices development.
- Strong Python experience for API and pipeline integration.
- Expertise with React JS, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS, MySQL, and advanced SQL.
- Practical Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Hands-on AWS SDK and S3 experience for large-volume object uploads.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
- Experience handling and integrating TIFF and BLOB formats.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is listed as a desired qualification.
- AWS Developer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is preferred, as are Java SE/EE or Spring Framework certifications.
- Experience with internal admin or monitoring UIs and familiarity with metadata generation and reconciliation processes are preferred.
