Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java backend services and RESTful APIs while contributing to design decisions under senior engineer guidance.
- Build and maintain React UI components and pages using established state management, routing, and accessibility patterns.
- Implement IAM flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML with Okta or other identity providers.
- Apply secure token handling, input validation, and basic RBAC practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Use New Relic, Splunk, and Datadog for observability and participate in incident response.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and improve code quality and test coverage.
- Document code, APIs, features, and technical runbooks.
- Integrate and experiment with AI/LLM APIs and AI coding tools to build AI-assisted product features.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Java development experience.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and basic microservices concepts.
- Working knowledge of React, including hooks, component design, and state management, plus exposure to Jest.
- Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML; exposure to Okta, Azure AD, or similar identity providers is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic Kubernetes operations, with willingness to develop infrastructure-as-code skills.
- Grounding in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and core design patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, SQL queries, and basic schema design.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to IAM, digital certificates, PKI, event-driven architecture, Kafka, event streaming, feature flags, blue/green deployments, AI-powered features, LLM APIs, RAG patterns, prompt engineering, or generative AI tools.
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or coursework demonstrating full-stack development or security interest are a plus.
