Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with React interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
- Build scalable Java/Spring Boot and Node.js/TypeScript services integrating SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Optimize query performance, data models, availability, and fault tolerance.
- Use AI coding agents for implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and repository navigation while reviewing generated changes.
- Apply secure coding practices using SAST and DAST tools and remediate security findings.
- Build reusable UI components and backend integrations for authentication, configuration, logging, caching, and data access.
- Deploy and monitor applications and services on cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Use GitHub for source control, pull requests, code reviews, and branching strategies.
- Troubleshoot production frontend, API, and database issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve reliability.
- Own features from requirements and UI/API design through implementation, testing, and release.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with hands-on frontend and backend delivery.
- Strong proficiency with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, plus Java/Spring Boot or Node.js backend development.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and transactions.
- Strong understanding of frontend-to-backend integration, API contracts, validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with AI agentic coding workflows and the ability to validate results while protecting sensitive data and respecting security, privacy, and licensing constraints.
- Knowledge of SAST and DAST for secure coding.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and preferably GitHub.
- Experience or knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code is valuable.
- Preferred experience includes SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools, performance profiling, Kafka, RabbitMQ, micro-frontends, shared component libraries, design systems, MCP tools, schema validation, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, secrets management, and TLS.
- Nice-to-have experience includes networking, load balancing, autoscaling, cost optimization, Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, test automation, blue/green or canary deployments, and AI governance practices.
