Base Salary
$166k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain SuperApp customer-facing web surfaces, including browser-extension content scripts, popups, injected components, the Home Page, and Life Events, using React and TypeScript.
- Implement contextual offer discovery, coupon and cashback detection, and in-page notification experiences.
- Integrate with Shopping Graph and Developer Portal APIs for merchant, offer, and eligibility data.
- Contribute to the broader ID.me Shop web experience as roadmap priorities evolve.
- Collaborate with Design and Product to turn discovery and personalization concepts into member-centered web UI.
- Ensure features meet standards for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser reliability across Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
- Provide production support by triaging and resolving incidents and bugs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 4+ years of frontend engineering experience, or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
- Experience building or maintaining browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, including content scripts, background or service workers, and Manifest V3.
- Solid production experience with React and Next.js.
- Preferred experience with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, the DOM, and native Web Components including Custom Elements, templates, Shadow DOM, slots, and events.
- Preferred experience with micro-frontend architectures, shared design systems, personalization or recommendation UI, e-commerce or discovery interfaces, and identity or credential-based access concepts.
- Preferred familiarity with UI component libraries, design tokens, theming, scalable CSS, accessibility standards, cross-browser behavior, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Preferred experience optimizing lightweight, injected, or embedded UI and collaborating with Design on system-level UI.
- Comfort using AI tooling for code generation, test coverage, and documentation is preferred.
