Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and coding of avionics software compliant with DO-178C.
- Perform software and system requirements analysis, architectural design, and detailed design.
- Develop embedded software using Ada and/or C/C++.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, V&V, and quality teams.
- Prepare technical documentation and follow applicable procedures and standards.
- Travel within Italy when required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in avionics software testing and/or coding.
- Degree in computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or scientific discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of the avionics software lifecycle and DO-178C.
- Experience with embedded platforms, Ada and/or C/C++, scripting with Lua and Python, and RTOS such as Green Hills INTEGRITY.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, Ethernet, and TCP/IP avionics protocols or buses.
- Knowledge of Git, requirements-management tools such as DOORS, and static-analysis tools such as GNAT SAS, Understand, or Polyspace.
- Strong written and spoken English at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred knowledge of C#, Windows database development, cybersecurity, information security, secure coding, model-based design, telecommunications, and Assembly.
- Ability to work in teams, communicate clearly, manage time, produce technical documentation, solve problems, and follow quality and procedural standards.
