Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions while automating manual processes and improving deployment speed and reliability.
- Connect the US Platform team with the global Platform Infrastructure team through shared standards, runbooks, and a joint technical roadmap.
- Improve monitoring, observability, incident response, cross-timezone on-call coordination, and post-mortem practices.
- Build internal tooling and self-service capabilities that enable product engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and scale services independently.
- Lead the migration of US infrastructure into a unified platform.
Requirements
- Approximately 8 or more years of senior-level experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering in complex, distributed environments.
- Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and EKS, plus advanced Kubernetes expertise covering cluster design, multi-tenant management, and upgrades.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation at scale and CI/CD design using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
- Experience with Istio or other service mesh technologies and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Ability to work across globally distributed teams and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders in asynchronous, cross-timezone environments.
