Responsibilities
- Contribute to power- and compute-efficient machine-vision perception pipelines through data preparation, model training, quantization, optimization, and edge deployment.
- Build and run test platforms and benchmarks for camera and perception performance, including latency, power, and accuracy.
- Support camera and sensor experiments involving ISP-to-perception data flows, capture, calibration, and evaluation.
- Prototype and iterate on scoped components with guidance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a PhD, or an exceptional undergraduate, in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or C/C++.
- Experience with PyTorch or an equivalent machine-learning framework.
- Hands-on experience in computer vision or machine learning, embedded or edge systems, or camera, image-sensor, or imaging pipelines, including genuine exposure to cameras, images, or visual perception.
- Ability to execute a scoped project with guidance in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively.
- Preferred experience includes quantization, pruning, ONNX/TensorRT, NPU/DSP deployment, image/video computer vision, 3D vision, event/depth sensing, sensor bring-up, FPGA, PCB, camera-pipeline work, or VLM/LLM tools.
