Responsibilities
- Own Salesforce B2B Commerce and Apex stories end-to-end from design and implementation through unit testing, peer review readiness, and QA handoff.
- Develop Apex, optimize SOQL queries, build and consume REST APIs, and customize commerce flows.
- Implement payment and transaction patterns including idempotency guards, cart conversion logic, and transactional rollback.
- Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, integration leads, and client teams on technical delivery, sequencing, and governance.
- Identify platform risks involving governor limits, API consumers, security, and performance, and propose solutions.
- Improve peer review standards, CI/CD adoption, test coverage, and deployment governance.
- Provide code reviews, technical guidance, and day-to-day mentoring to analysts.
- Participate in agentic AI workshops and use Claude Code in daily engineering workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is stated for the role.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Hands-on Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud experience covering commerce flows, pricing, entitlements, buyer-experience customization, and data-model configuration.
- Strong Salesforce Apex skills including triggers, classes, asynchronous processing, governor limits, save points, rollback, and unit testing.
- SOQL query optimization and governor-limit risk management in high-volume transactional flows.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs within Salesforce, including versioning and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of payment and transaction patterns such as idempotency guards, cart conversion logic, and transactional rollback.
- Experience with SFDX, Git-based version control, and sprint-based delivery.
- Preferred qualifications include Named Credentials, External Credentials, PII data-model awareness, Seam B contract testing, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, RCA, CPQ, OMS, or Salesforce Platform Developer/B2B Commerce certification.
