Responsibilities
- Configure and extend Pricefx capabilities using Groovy, Pricefx APIs, and reusable calculation logic libraries.
- Translate pricing requirements into maintainable calculations, data structures, workflows, integrations, and user experiences.
- Configure Pricefx data objects, dashboards, approval workflows, input builders, result matrices, and role-based access controls.
- Design enterprise integrations and workflows involving Pricefx, SAP, Salesforce, and other business platforms.
- Develop and troubleshoot REST API and event-driven integrations with authentication, pagination, retries, idempotency, and error handling.
- Optimize large-volume calculations and queries using SQL, QueryAPI, DatamartContext, efficient data access, batching, and caching.
- Develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot Pricefx configurations using Pricefx Studio, IntelliJ IDEA, calculation logs, and representative test data.
- Establish automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and user-acceptance testing for pricing solutions.
- Use Git, peer review, CI/CD pipelines, and Pricefx deployment tooling to promote solutions through DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD environments.
- Lead code and design reviews, coach engineers, resolve complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least four years of relevant software engineering, application configuration, or pricing technology experience; typically five or more years for this senior-level role.
- Hands-on experience configuring or developing Pricefx solutions with Groovy and Pricefx APIs.
- Strong Groovy skills or strong experience with Java or another JVM language, with the ability to demonstrate proficiency in collections, closures, dates, decimal arithmetic, exception handling, and reusable libraries.
- Strong SQL, relational data modeling, and analytical query skills, including joins, aggregations, filtering, null handling, data types, query performance, and large-volume processing.
- Working knowledge of Pricefx master and transactional data objects, Analytics data structures, Company Parameters, extension tables, Data Sources, Datamarts, and Rollups.
- Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and JSON-based enterprise integrations.
- Experience with Git, peer review, automated testing, CI/CD, release management, technical documentation, debugging, and production support.
- Ability to convert ambiguous requirements into maintainable solutions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include Pricefx training, practitioner certification, or comparable implementation experience.
- Preferred experience includes Pricefx Studio, IntelliJ IDEA, QueryAPI, DatamartContext, Packaging Tool, Maven-based deployment, automated Pricefx release pipelines, Pricefx IntegrationManager, SAP, Salesforce, SFTP, HTTP, events, CSV, XML, and JSON.
- Preferred experience includes Price Setting, Quoting/CPQ, Agreements and Promotions, Rebates, Analytics, Optimization, B2B pricing concepts, secure highly available SaaS solutions, global enterprise environments, and distributed agile teams.
