Responsibilities

  • Design, build, secure, and scale the Azure-based SaaS platform using AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and related services.
  • Lead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release engineering workflows.
  • Drive SRE practices involving observability, incident response, availability, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to FedRAMP compliance readiness through secure configuration management, audit logging, documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support, maintenance-window support, and participation in a North American business-hours on-call rotation.
  • Support capacity planning, cost optimization, and scaling for key infrastructure services.
  • Maintain production monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for high reliability and rapid incident response.
  • Participate in security, availability, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document operational processes, architectural decisions, and runbooks in Jira or Confluence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure Cloud and native services, especially AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor, and Key Vault.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices architectures and serverless environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and cloud-native workloads.
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Bash or Python.
  • Deep experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, or other security and compliance frameworks; experience in a FedRAMP-authorized environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, security, and compliance teams.
  • Experience working effectively in remote teams across time zones.
  • Preferred qualifications include GitHub Actions or Workflows, GitLab CI, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, SaaS security practices, change management, relevant Azure certifications, and experience leading or contributing to regulated compliance initiatives.
