Responsibilities
- Lead development of large-scale software applications and deliver scalable, maintainable, high-quality backend solutions.
- Design and improve signaling, session-state, streaming-data, and reliability infrastructure for remote endpoint sessions.
- Influence architecture decisions while balancing technical debt, performance, scalability, and business needs.
- Own technical initiatives, address challenges, and drive improvements informed by support-team data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Advocate for quality assurance practices and robust, high-performance software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development, particularly for product applications.
- 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
- Proven experience scaling systems and solving complex system design challenges.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design principles and practices.
- Expertise in API design and RESTful services, including frameworks such as Spring.
- Proficiency in relational database design and development.
- Experience with caching systems.
- Data warehouse exposure and testing or automation tooling are a plus.
