Responsibilities
- Design and operate AWS-based infrastructure for messaging workloads.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines for messaging components.
- Build and maintain internal tools for topic lifecycle management and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with product teams to design messaging architectures.
- Participate in on-call rotations for messaging platforms.
- Contribute to runbooks, RFCs, and technical documentation.
- Take on deeper Kafka ownership over time.
Requirements
- Deep AWS cloud infrastructure experience with a track record of operating production services.
- Solid SRE background with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Software development skills in at least one general-purpose language.
- End-to-end ownership of production systems, including monitoring and incident handling.
- Strong drive to learn Kafka and become a team reference in this area.
