Responsibilities
- Develop Base Software functions and modules for traction command-and-control systems.
- Define Base Software architectures and functionalities, requirements specifications, test specifications, and configuration history documentation.
- Write C source code and perform software module, integration, non-regression, validation, and homologation testing.
- Integrate Base Software into train-level architectures and generate software builds and versions.
- Perform engineering-level impact analysis, reliability growth activities, change management, and software documentation.
- Coordinate technical activities across engineering sites and with suppliers when required.
- Support planning, technical activity controlling, budgeting for offers, quality indicators, and design reviews.
- Apply EHS rules, software procedures, quality processes, and rail software standard 50128 requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in real-time software design and standard application; ultra-RTOS experience is appreciated.
- Deep knowledge of C is required; C++ knowledge is appreciated.
- Experience with formal software development processes, module testing, and V-model software development is appreciated.
- Knowledge of command and control of technical systems and communication protocols including CAN, MVB, TrDP, and CIP.
- Basic knowledge of software configuration management tools such as ClearCase, SVN, Git, and ClearQuest.
- Basic knowledge of electronic hardware design and experience in the railway field are appreciated.
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and requirements management tools such as DOORS is appreciated.
- Experience using testers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers.
- Knowledge of impact analysis, basic statistics, and FMEA.
- Fluent French and English are required; Italian and/or Spanish are appreciated.
- Teamworking, proactive problem-solving, and interest in interdisciplinary work.
